Job summary

TRM Labs is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with national-security customers, deploying our AI-powered platform into their environments, including air-gapped setups, and translating mission needs into practical software.

You will be a generalist: shipping code, debugging Kubernetes workloads, designing data schemas, standing up cloud infrastructure, or prototyping capabilities based on customer problems.

Qualifications

• Strong programming in Python and/or Node.js/TypeScript with AI experience.
• Hands-on Kubernetes: deploy, debug real workloads.
• Production AWS experience.
• Relational databases such as PostgreSQL: design and tune data.
• Willingness to stretch beyond primary specialty and learn quickly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for customer-facing work.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, integrate and operate TRM's platform inside customer environments - cloud and air-gapped.
• Sit directly with mission users, translate needs into working software, build integrations and data pipelines.
• Deliver across application code, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure and data flows.
• Act as the technical bridge back to TRM's product and engineering teams.
• Diagnose and resolve hard problems in constrained environments.
