A food attendant in an eatery typically has the following job responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner. Take orders, answer questions about the menu, and offer recommendations if needed.
• Food Preparation & Serving: Ensure food items are prepared and served according to the restaurant’s standards. This might involve setting up food trays, plating, and ensuring correct portion sizes.
• Cleaning & Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including wiping tables, refilling condiments, and ensuring the overall environment is tidy. You may also be responsible for washing dishes, utensils, and glassware as needed.
• Cash Handling & Payment Processing: Process payments, including handling cash, credit cards, or other forms of payment. Provide customers with receipts and handle any concerns about billing.
• Stocking & Inventory: Assist in stocking food and beverage items, ensuring that necessary supplies are available for service. Notify managers when items are running low.
