Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Firmware Manager in the Philippines to lead firmware architecture and development for communication modules, energy solutions, and industrial technologies. You will provide technical leadership and program direction across new product development and lifecycle support, driving quality and business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering, CS, IT.
• 3+ years in technical leadership in firmware/embedded.
• Experience with ARM-based platforms.
• Experience with system integration testing.
• Familiar with TCP/IP, Ethernet, fieldbus.
• Familiar with Agile methods.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of firmware development projects with structured PM practices.
• Define and guide architecture direction, reviews, and qualification planning.
• Develop assembly and test specs for new products and processes.
• Ensure regulatory and industry standard compliance with design teams.
• Collaborate with technology and supply partners for product development.
• Provide regular updates to leadership on progress, risks, and opportunities.
• Coach and develop team members through feedback and resource planning.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to resolve product quality concerns.
• Drive process improvements to enhance project execution and outcomes.
• Contribute as SME by researching and applying advanced concepts to address challenges.
