Job summary

Opus Fund Services in Manila seeks an experienced Fund Accountant to prepare and review financial statements for hedge and private equity funds under US GAAP and IFRS. You will guide junior staff and contribute to automation.

You will join a collaborative, fast-paced team; initial months include in-office training, then a hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office weekly.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of hands-on experience in handling financial statements for investment funds (hedge and private equity funds) including 2–3 years of review experience.
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP; experience with IFRS is preferred.
• In-depth understanding of fund structures and the fund administration industry.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• Preferred professional qualification, CA, CPA, ACCA, MBA (Finance), or any course specialized in accounting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Positive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset, eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review draft financial statements for hedge/private equity funds under US GAAP and IFRS.
• Prepare and review FAR forms per CIMA for mutual and private funds.
• Provide guidance and technical support to junior and senior team members.
• Assist in training initiatives.
• Support process improvements and automation.
• Coordinate with cross-functional global teams to resolve complex queries.
• Participate in special projects and workflow optimization.
• Identify errors and investigate solutions for Managers.
• Monitor tools and templates to detect malfunctions.
• Support Managers in monitoring team performance and quality standards.

• Prepare and review FAR forms as per CIMA for Mutual funds and Private funds.
• Provide guidance and technical support to junior and senior team members.

• Act as a resource for process improvements and automation.
• Coordinate with cross-functional global teams to resolve complex queries from clients and auditors.
