Job summary

Planet Sports Inc. is seeking a finance professional to engage with the operations team on biweekly P&L reviews at the store income level, providing insights to enhance productivity, promo effectiveness, and cost-saving opportunities for mono-brand concepts.

Responsibilities include monitoring performance against budget and forecasts, ensuring no overspend in staff costs, premises, and supplies, and reviewing marketing expenses against IOM forms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Management required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Hyperion, and SAP; strong time management and communication skills.

Job Description

• Engage with the operations team through biweekly P&L reviews at the store income level to gain insights for improving productivity (LFL & new stores), evaluating promotion effectiveness, and identifying cost-saving opportunities for mono-brand concepts.


• Monitor actual performance against budget and rolling forecasts, ensuring no over-budget spending across store operations, including staff costs (primarily incentives), premises, sundries, and supplies.


• Review actual and accrued marketing expenses against approved IOM (marketing cost approval forms) at both store and SBU levels.


• Conduct comparative reporting across concepts and brands, including analysis of store income matrices-focusing on underperforming stores and those undergoing renovation.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting or Management


• Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Hyperion, and SAP; strong time management and communication skill
