Job summary

Goldilocks Bakeshop Inc. invites a data-driven Finance professional to join our Corporate Finance team in Mandaluyong. You will consolidate P&L across stores, analyze variances, and support retail profitability initiatives.

You will build financial models, assist in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic analyses for store networks, corporate sales, and promotions, partnering with top management for actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or related-field.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• At least 2-3 years relevant experience in finance or accounting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in financial modeling and forecast.
• Excellent knowledge in financial tools.
• Willing to work in Mandaluyong City.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate and summarize the P&L of all stores (Strategic BU, Region, Store Type and City) and identify non-performing stores.
• Explain material changes and variances, and abnormal balances on each P&L line item.
• Assist on retail finance projects to improve profitability per sqm and per headcount.
• Prepare quarterly P&L estimates for Corporate Sales & GDS and consolidate monthly actuals.
• Monitor store network performance, including new and renovated stores.
• Participate in the budget preparation and variances analysis for retail operations.
• Develop financial models and scenarios for forecasting and decision support.
• Perform marketing promo analyses (pre- and post-promo).

Job description

Financial Statements Analysis

• Consolidate and summarize the P&L of all stores (ie Strategic BU, Region, Store Type and City; Identification of non-performing stores; Comparison of similar stores, etc.)

• Identify and explain for any material changes and variances, as well as abnormal balances, on each line item of the P&L

• Assist on the projects that Retail Finance Group, ie theoretical costing, etc., that will improve overall retail operation’s performance ie profitability per sqm and per head count, etc.

• Other analysis/reports necessary to provide support to retail group and top management

Corporate Sales & GDS

• Prepare quarterly GDS P&L estimate and consolidate the monthly actual P&L of this channel once available

• Prepare CST P&L on major customers of the department

• Other reports necessary to provide timely information on corporate sales and GDS

Store Network and Improvements

• Monitor the performance of new stores.

• Monitor the performance of renovated stores

Budget Preparation

• Participate in preparation of retail operations budget (ie preparation of per store budget, etc.)

• Monitor and analyze store actual performance and identify any material variances versus budget.

Business Modelling/Simulation

• Able to simulate impact of project/initiative/activity to store and/or brand profitability

• Able to do create financial scenarios and/templates for forecasting or simulation purposes.

Marketing Promo Analysis

• Prepare marketing promo pre and post promo analysis

QUALIFICATIONS:
