Job summary

Business Process Outsourcing International, Inc. is seeking an experienced Financial Controller with strong banking industry experience to oversee financial accounting, reporting, controls, budgeting, and regulatory compliance.

The role ensures accurate financial reporting in line with BSP regulations and company policies. The successful candidate will lead the Finance & Accounting team, drive budgeting and cash flow planning, and coordinate with auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA License is required.
• Banking experience is required.
• 8–10 years of progressive Finance & Accounting experience, preferably in a bank or financial institution.
• Strong experience in financial controlling, financial reporting, accounting operations, and internal controls.
• Knowledge of BSP regulations and banking financial reporting requirements.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, audit, compliance, and financial analysis.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Willing to work onsite in Cebu City.
• Can start ASAP.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the bank’s financial accounting and controlling functions.
• Prepare and review accurate financial statements, management reports, and regulatory reports.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing, including GL, reconciliations, and financial adjustments.
• Establish and maintain strong financial controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with BSP regulations, Philippine accounting standards, tax requirements, and other applicable banking regulations.
• Coordinate with external and internal auditors and address audit findings.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial analysis.
• Monitor financial performance, identify risks, and provide recommendations to senior management.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and reporting.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Finance & Accounting team.
• Drive process improvements and strengthen financial control systems.
