Job summary

ING Hubs Philippines is seeking a senior Financial Controller to oversee Global Infrastructure cost areas. You will validate month-end close, ensure accurate reporting, and drive cost transparency across FTEs, accruals, and allocations.

You will partner with finance, CTO, and procurement to improve governance and drive automations. The role requires 5–7 years in financial controlling with experience in asset-intensive environments, advanced Excel/BI skills, and a strong control mindset.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA, CMA, or a relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
  • At least 5–7 years of experience in financial controlling, accounting, cost control, management reporting, or planning and analysis.
  • Experience in technology infrastructure, IT finance, banking, shared services, telecommunications, cloud, data centres, networks, workplace technology, or another asset- and-service-intensive environment is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of month-end close, actuals reporting, reconciliations, accruals, cost-centre accounting, allocations, forecasting support, variance analysis, and financial commentary.

Responsibilities

  • Validate actuals and month-end close for assigned Global Infrastructure cost areas, ensuring complete, accurate, and timely reporting.
  • Prepare and review financial reports covering infrastructure costs, FTEs, accruals, prepayments, capitalization, amortization, and run-rate movements.
  • Execute and reconcile charging, cost allocations, recharges, and cross-functional budget transfers using approved principles and consumption drivers.
  • Analyze variances and unusual movements, resolve unreconciled balances and data issues, and prepare clear commentary on performance, risks, and forecast impact.
  • Support forecasting and Dynamic Planning by validating baselines, assumptions, cost drivers, organizational changes, and expected infrastructure demand.
  • Maintain control over infrastructure operating costs and investments, including accounting treatment, cost classification, commitments, and supporting documentation.
  • Execute and evidence internal controls, support SOX and audit requirements, and maintain complete, audit-ready records.
  • Monitor financial data quality and resolve mapping, hierarchy, interface, and master-data issues affecting reports.
  • Partner with Finance, Infrastructure, CTO, service management, procurement, and accounting teams to clarify movements and improve transparency.
  • Simplify, standardize, and automate recurring close, reconciliation, allocation, control, and reporting activities while documenting critical procedures.

Role Summary

You will manage financial control activities for assigned Global Infrastructure cost areas, ensuring that financial information is complete, accurate, timely, and supported by a strong control environment. You will validate month-end close and actuals, maintain cost and FTE transparency, reconcile charging and allocations, support forecasting and Dynamic Planning, prepare financial commentary, resolve data issues, and maintain audit-ready evidence for internal control and SOX requirements.

About the Team

You will join the Global Finance community supporting Global Infrastructure from ING Hubs Philippines. Working with senior controllers and international stakeholders, the team provides reliable reporting, transparent infrastructure cost management, disciplined charging and allocations, and strong financial governance.

Key Responsibilities

What We Are Looking For

  • Strong control mindset and experience with internal controls, SOX, audit support, control testing, or financial-risk remediation.
  • Strong analytical and data-management skills, with the ability to work with large and complex financial datasets.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with Hyperion, SmartView, Oracle EPM, SAP, Power BI, Power Query, or similar tools is an advantage.
  • Clear communication, ownership, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively across functions, cultures, locations, and time zones.
