Job summary

The Corporate Institute is seeking a Financial Controller in the Philippines to lead the Finance & Accounts function for an agri-commodity procurement, trading and trade-finance business. You will own end-to-end financial control, reporting, working capital, cash flows, tax, compliance and commercial finance, overseeing the full transaction cycle from procurement to collections.

Qualifications

CA with 4+ years post-qualification experience.
Strong experience in commodity trading, agri-business, NBFC or other working-capital-intensive businesses.
Hands-on in financial reporting, book closure, taxation, GST, audits and financial controls.
Strong understanding of working-capital management and cash-flow planning.
Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

Own the Finance & Accounts function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Review and approve monthly P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and MIS.
Lead book closure cycles monthly, quarterly and annually.
Establish robust accounting processes, internal controls and financial checks.
Oversee GST, TDS, taxation and statutory compliances.
Provide meaningful financial MIS and performance insights.
Mentor and develop the Finance & Accounts team.
