Job summary

The Corporate Institute is seeking a Financial Controller in Mumbai to lead the Finance & Accounting functions for an agri-commodity trading and trade-finance business. The role covers financial control, reporting, working capital, cash flows, taxation, compliance and commercial finance across the full transaction cycle from procurement to collections.

Responsibilities include ownership of financial statements, book closure, internal controls, bank liaison, and team leadership, with CA-qualified

Qualifications

• CA qualification with relevant post-qualification experience.
• 6-7 years of post-qualification experience in finance roles.
• Strong understanding of commodity trading and trade finance an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end financial control including monthly closings and reporting.
• Manage accounting for commodity procurement, inventory, sales and trade-finance.
• Lead working capital management, treasury, liquidity and bank liaison.
• Ensure GST, tax compliance, audits and internal controls.
• Provide MIS and financial insights to drive profitability.
• Mentor and manage the Finance & Accounts team.
