I. Job Summary
The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making and financial planning through timely and accurate financial reports and compliance, mainly for RCI Ventures, Inc. (RCIV) and Pioneer Adhesives Foundation, Inc. (PAFI). This role involves analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and evaluating business performance to identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth for the assigned entities. In addition, the financial analyst supports Pioneer Adhesives, Inc. (PAI) monthly closing activities for banking module and bank reconciliation and tax compliance (i.e., national and local).
II. Roles and Responsibilities
RCI Ventures, Inc.
- 1. Timely recognition of income and expenses for RCIV
- 2. Create checklist or schedule of monthly closing activities for RCIV
- 3. Prepare billings to customers and obtain collections
- 4. Prepare monthly amortization schedule for prepaid expenses accounts
- 5. Monthly lapsing schedule for fixed assets
- 6. Analyze variances from current month’s actual financial performance vs last month and vs budget
- 7. Prepare monthly and annual trial balance and Financial Statement (FS) reports
- 8. Timely and accurate filing and remittance/payment of statutory requirements (SSS, PHIC, Pag-ibig)
General Accounting and Taxation
- 9. Perform monthly bank reconciliation
- 10. Review of BS account balances and movement. Monthly recon with GL and SL balances.
- 11. Bookkeeping and monitoring of RCIV and PAFI transactions
- 12. Support annual audit and preparation of annual financial statements for RCIV and PAFI
- 13. Support in budget creation for RCIV and PAFI
- 14. Timely and accurate filing and remittance/payment of taxes (withholding, value-added, income, documentary stamp, and other percentages) for RCIV and PAFI
- 15. Prepare and facilitate submissions of tax attachments (Alphalist, SLSP)
- 16. Processing of company’s business permit renewal for RCIV, PAI and PAFI, including payment of quarterly business taxes
- 17. Processing of real property taxes
- 18. Processing of request for payments, billings and cash advance requests and liquidations
- 19. Facilitate submission of annual reportorial requirements in Security Exchange Commission (SEC) and Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)
- 20. Serve as ERP Super User for General Accounting and Banking Functions
- 21. Other tasks that may be assigned from time to time
III. Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (preferably a CPA)
- With one (1) year experience in General Accounting and Taxation
- Intermediate to advanced computer literacy e.g. excel, word, PowerPoint
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Netsuite, Acumatica)
