Job summary

IQ-EQ is seeking a Financial Accountant in Metro Manila, Pasig, to ensure timely monthly reporting and support year-end audits. You will manage bank reconciliations, regulatory returns, and assist with integration activities for growth initiatives.

The role requires a proactive, hands-on finance professional with strong Excel skills and the ability to work with global teams and stakeholders in a dynamic environment. Hybrid working arrangements are available.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of accounting experience in a finance role.
• Experience in a global finance environment; UK companies an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of financial controls and external audit processes.
• Advanced Excel with ability to manage multiple deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Job Description

THIS ROLE

As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely completion of monthly and other financial reporting requirements, including month-end journals, balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and supporting the year-end audit as the primary point of contact. The role also involves contributing to various reporting, project, and ad hoc finance activities. We are seeking a proactive, hands‑on professional with a positive, can‑do attitude who can help drive continuous improvement within the finance function and adapt to a dynamic environment with diverse responsibilities.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and maintain accurate monthly management reports and financial information.
• Lead the year-end audit process and prepare annual financial statements.
• Complete regulatory, VAT, corporate tax, and other statutory returns.
• Support finance integration activities for new acquisitions and business growth initiatives.
• Drive process improvements, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

ABOUT YOU

• At least 3 years of accounting experience in a similar finance or accounting role.
• Experience working in a global finance environment, with exposure to UK companies considered an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of financial controls, best practices, and external audit processes.
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines, prioritize tasks, and deliver high-quality results.
• Strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to present findings to senior stakeholders and work effectively both independently and within a team.
