Job summary

IQ-EQ is seeking a Financial Accountant to ensure timely monthly financial reporting, prepare month-end journals, perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations, and support the year-end audit as the primary point of contact. The role requires a proactive, hands-on professional capable of driving continuous improvement within a dynamic finance team.

The position involves preparing monthly management reports, supporting regulatory and tax returns, and assisting with integration of acquisitions

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of accounting experience in a similar role.
• Experience in a global finance environment; UK exposure is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of financial controls and external audit processes.
• Advanced Excel skills to manage deadlines and analyses.
• Ability to present findings to senior stakeholders.

Job Description

THIS ROLE

As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely completion of monthly and other financial reporting requirements, including month-end journals, balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and supporting the year-end audit as the primary point of contact. The role also involves contributing to various reporting, project, and ad hoc finance activities. We are seeking a proactive, hands-on professional with a positive, can-do attitude who can help drive continuous improvement within the finance function and adapt to a dynamic environment with diverse responsibilities.

Qualifications

ABOUT YOU

• At least 3 years of accounting experience in a similar finance or accounting role.
• Experience working in a global finance environment, with exposure to UK companies considered an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of financial controls, best practices, and external audit processes.
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines, prioritize tasks, and deliver high-quality results.
• Strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to present findings to senior stakeholders and work effectively both independently and within a team.
