• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in accounts payable operations or similar finance function.
• Proven experience leading transformation or process improvement projects.
• Strong knowledge of AP systems and automation tools (RPA/AI).
• Project management certification (PMP/PRINCE2) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of AP transformation projects from initiation to closure.
• Develop project plans with scope, resources, budget, and risk mitigation for AP transformation.
• Collaborate with finance, IT, and stakeholders to identify process improvements and implement solutions.
• Oversee evaluation and implementation of new AP technologies and automation tools.
• Manage stakeholder communications and provide regular status updates to senior management.
• Conduct training and develop documentation for smooth adoption of new processes.

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Transformation Project Manager – Accounts Payable to join Michael Page International Recruitment Philippines on a full-time basis in Makati City, Metro Manila. This is a strategic role designed to lead and oversee the transformation of accounts payable processes and systems within our organisation. You will be at the forefront of modernising our financial operations, implementing new technologies, and optimising workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. This position plays a crucial role in driving organisational change and ensuring a smooth transition to improved AP practices that align with industry best standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of accounts payable transformation projects from initiation through to closure, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and timelines
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, budget management, and risk mitigation strategies for AP transformation initiatives
• Collaborate with finance teams, IT departments, and key stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities and implement sustainable solutions
• Oversee the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new AP technologies, systems, and automation tools to streamline invoice processing and payment cycles
• Manage stakeholder communications, including regular status updates, progress reports, and issue escalations to senior management
• Conduct training sessions and develop documentation to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and systems by AP team members
• Monitor project performance against key metrics such as cost savings, processing time reduction, and error rates, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement
• Identify and manage risks and issues that may impact project success, developing mitigation and contingency plans as required
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of AP transformation initiatives with broader finance transformation programmes

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in accounts payable operations or a similar finance function, with demonstrated expertise in AP processes and best practices
• Proven experience leading or managing transformation or process improvement projects, ideally within a finance or accounting environment
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable systems, automation tools, and emerging technologies such as robotic process automation (RPA) or artificial intelligence (AI)
• Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or similar) is highly desirable
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify inefficiencies and recommend data‑driven solutions
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across different levels of the organisation
• Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to explain complex financial concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools; experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is advantageous
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise effectively in a dynamic environment
• A collaborative approach with a demonstrated ability to work effectively within cross‑functional teams

Work Arrangement

• Hybrid: 3 days onsite/2 days working from home
• Mid shift: 2 PM to 11 PM PHT
