SIA Engineering (Philippines) Corporation is seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant to manage General Ledger, monthly closings, and financial reporting. You will prepare statements, ensure compliance with Philippine accounting standards, and support annual audits.
The ideal candidate has 8–10 years of accounting experience, a relevant degree, and strong knowledge of tax and corporate finance law. The role emphasizes accuracy, leadership, and collaboration with HQ and auditors.
Qualifications:
At least 8-10 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with strong experience in General Ledger and financial reporting.
Bachelor's degree in accountancy, Accounting, Finance or a related field. CPA qualification is an advantage.
Strong experience in month-end closing, account reconciliations and preparation of financial statements.
Good knowledge of Philippine Tax and Corporate Finance Law.
Good communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software.
Job Description:
Oversee the day-to-day General Ledger activities and ensure transactions are properly recorded and supported.
Coordinate the month-end closing process and ensure all closing activities are completed on time. Schedules and supporting working papers, including accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, intercompany balances and other balance sheet accounts.
Prepare and review monthly financial statements and financial reports with monthly and Quarterly financial reporting packages for submission to HQ.
Review financial results and highlight significant variances or unusual movements to the Finance Manager.
Ensure accounting records are maintained in accordance with company policies and applicable Philippine accounting standards.
Prepare supporting schedules and information required for statutory, tax and audit requirements in quarterly and yearly.
Coordinate with external auditors and provide requested schedules and supporting documents.
Provide guidance and support to accounting staff and review their work where required.
Identify accounting issues and bring them to the attention of the Finance Manager together with the relevant supporting information.
Assist the Finance Manager with other accounting and other Ad-hoc finance matters as required.
