Job summary

5 ELK is hiring a Finance Supervisor to support Philippine operations. The role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring statutory compliance, and supporting day-to-day financial operations.

The ideal candidate is detail-driven, organised, and versed in PH tax requirements and procedures. Key duties include payroll review, guiding junior staff, meeting filing deadlines, and accurate financial recording in line with policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or any business related course.
• At least 5 years of finance or accounting experience, preferably in a BPO or shared services environment.
• Strong knowledge of financial procedures and government regulations, especially tax.
• Experience using accounting software.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Highly organised, detail oriented, and able to work independently while managing multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Review payroll reports and summaries to ensure accuracy before submission for management review
• Provide hands on guidance and ongoing support to junior finance staff to maintain payroll accuracy, compliance, and consistency
• Monitor statutory and internal compliance deadlines, ensuring all filings and payments are completed on time and properly documented
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions in accordance with company policies and accounting standards
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring balances are accurate and issues are resolved promptly
• Maintain complete, well organised, and audit ready financial records and supporting documentation
• Ensure strict adherence to internal controls, financial procedures, and company policies
• Support the preparation and submission of required reports to government agencies (BIR, PEZA, SEC) on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
• Prepare schedules, reconciliations, and documentation to support internal and external audit requirements
• Identify discrepancies, risks, and opportunities for process improvement, and elevate findings with clear recommendations to the Finance Supervisor

About the role
