Job summary

Altitude Ventures, OPC is seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to oversee daily finance and accounting operations in Buhangin, Davao City.

You will supervise payroll, oversee statutory filings, and drive process improvements while mentoring the Finance Associates. This on-site role reports to the CEO and requires strong Excel skills and familiarity with Xero/QuickBooks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance and professional background in finance.
• 1–2 years of relevant finance/accounting experience.
• Proficient with Xero, QuickBooks or ERP systems; strong Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and time-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily finance and accounting operations, including financial statements, budgets, forecasts and reconciliations.
• Review outputs and supervise payroll processing, bonuses, deductions and leave credits.
• Ensure compliance with BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, SEC and related regulations.
• Lead Finance Associates, mentor staff, and manage workflow.
• Coordinate with auditors and provide financial insights for decisions.
• Improve and standardize finance processes and controls.
• Provide hands-on support to the finance team when needed.

About the role

Full-time, on-site role in Buhangin, Davao City, reporting directly to the CEO. Oversee daily finance and accounting operations, including financial statements, budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and reconciliations.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate Finance Associate outputs, entries, documents, and reports for accuracy and completeness
• Supervise payroll processing, last pay, bonuses, deductions, leave credits, and government-mandated benefits
• Review statutory filings and ensure compliance with BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, SEC, and other applicable regulations
• Supervise, coach, and mentor Finance Associates; assign tasks and ensure proper preparer/reviewer workflow
• Coordinate with auditors and provide financial insights to management for decision-making
• Improve and standardize finance processes, controls, and documentation
• Support the team hands-on when needed—not just oversee operations

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related course
• At least 1-2 years of relevant finance/accounting experience
• Knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and government compliance
• Proficient in Xero, QuickBooks, or other ERP systems
• Strong Microsoft Excel, reconciliation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong leadership, communication, attention to detail, and time management
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Willing to be hands-on and actively support the Finance team
