Job summary

Shopee Philippines seeks a Finance Operations Senior Analyst to own reconciliation, payout validation, and reporting for ShopeeFood’s Instant and Food businesses based in Manila. You will be the key contact for daily cash-control processes affecting driver and merchant payouts and help build new reconciliation workflows for the growing food vertical.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• At least 2 years in Finance Operations, Accounting, Reconciliation, or Shared Services.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling; data validation and reporting experience.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage recurring processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable with large datasets.
• Experience with ERP or procurement/payment systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end reconciliation across bank, payment gateway, and internal systems, including new reconciliation processes for the business's growing scope (e.g., buyer payment to merchant/partner withdrawal, refunds handling).
• Coordinate withholding tax (WHT) and e-Tax matters with Regional/local Finance, ensuring accurate application and timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Support money collection processes, coordinating with Business Development and Regional Finance on outstanding items.
• Raise and manage Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs), ensuring compliance with internal procurement policies and approval workflows.
• Perform wallet balance adjustments for merchants and delivery partners, validating balances against source transaction data.
• Prepare recurring administrative reports and management trackers to support business monitoring and decision-making.
• Support month-end and period-end closing activities through data validation and reconciliation.
• Investigate payment, billing, and reconciliation issues, providing timely resolution and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
• Drive process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of finance operations.

About The Team

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage recurring, deadline-driven processes with a high degree of accuracy.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with comfort handling large transactional datasets.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with ERP, procurement, or payment systems is a plus.
