Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd in Manila is seeking a Finance Officer to underpin accounting and settlement functions. You will perform, reconcile, and verify, working with external partners and reporting to the Finance Manager. This hands-on role offers real ownership of daily transactions and trust balances.

You will join a team focused on accurate reconciliations, general accounting, treasury operations, and regulatory compliance, with an emphasis on integrity and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA advantageous but not required.
• 3–5 years in general accounting, strict bank reconciliation, or treasury operations.
• Experience in BSP-supervised institutions, e-wallet, fintech or banking environments is a plus.
• Hands-on preparation and electronic filing of BIR tax returns; knowledge of VAT rules.
• Proficiency with ERP/cloud accounting like NetSuite or Xero; advanced Excel/Sheets.
• Multi-currency accounting and FX revaluation experience.
• Strong English communication and presentation skills.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable to a fast-evolving environment.
• Segregation of duties—no custody of funds or authority to release payments.

Responsibilities

• Daily and monthly bank reconciliations across operating and settlement accounts.
• Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable; maintain GL and journal entries.
• Monitor treasury, cash positions by corridor, and foreign currency revaluation.
• Prepare data for statutory financial statements, SEC disclosures, and BIR returns.
• Support external audit and BSP examinations with organized schedules.
