About the role
The Finance Officer – EVAS & Bank Relations is responsible for monitoring and managing the financial activities related to Value-Added Services (EVAS), including revenue monitoring, reconciliation, collections, and financial reporting. The position also supports the company’s banking activities by coordinating with banks, maintaining banking relationships, and assisting in the negotiation of bank charges, transaction fees, interest rates, payment terms, and other banking arrangements.
The role ensures the accuracy of financial transactions, timely reconciliation of accounts, proper documentation, and effective coordination with internal departments and banking partners.
1. EVAS / Value-Added Services
Monitor and validate daily EVAS sales and revenue transactions.
Reconcile EVAS sales with POS/system reports, collections, and financial records.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly EVAS financial reports.
Monitor EVAS collections, refunds, adjustments, cancellations, and other related transactions.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies between EVAS reports and accounting records.
Coordinate with Sales and Store Operations regarding EVAS transaction concerns.
Ensure proper documentation and recording of EVAS-related transactions.
2. Bank Relations & Negotiations
Coordinate with banks regarding company banking requirements and transactions.
Maintain professional relationships with bank relationship managers and representatives.
Assist in negotiating bank charges, transaction fees, interest rates, payment terms, and other banking arrangements.
Review and compare bank proposals, rates, fees, and service terms.
Assist in securing favorable banking terms and services for the company.
Coordinate requirements for opening, maintaining, and closing company bank accounts.
Address and resolve banking transaction issues and discrepancies.
Assist in bank facility applications and other financial arrangements.
Maintain proper documentation of bank negotiations, agreements, and approvals.
3. Financial Reconciliation & Monitoring
Perform regular bank and account reconciliations.
Monitor collections, deposits, and bank transactions.
Reconcile bank statements against company financial records.
Identify and investigate unusual transactions, variances, and discrepancies.
Coordinate with Treasury and Accounting to resolve outstanding reconciling items.
Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions.
4. Financial Reporting
Prepare financial schedules, reports, and summaries related to EVAS and banking activities.
Provide financial data and analysis to support management decision-making.
Assist in month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
Monitor financial transactions and ensure completeness and accuracy of supporting documents.
Assist in audit requirements by providing necessary schedules and documentation.
5. Internal Controls & Compliance
Ensure compliance with company finance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
Ensure confidentiality of financial and banking information.
Identify potential financial risks and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
Support the implementation and improvement of finance processes and controls.
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Accountancy, Business Administration, or a related field.
At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Banking, or financial operations.
With proven experience in bank negotiations, particularly involving bank charges, transaction fees, interest rates, payment facilities, or other banking arrangements.
Experience in EVAS, retail finance, sales reconciliation, collections, or POS transactions is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of financial operations, bank reconciliation, revenue monitoring, and financial controls.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, PivotTables, lookups, and data analysis.
Experience with ERP, accounting, POS, or banking systems is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Highly organized and able to manage multiple financial reports and deadlines.
Able to coordinate effectively with banks, internal departments, and external partners.
High level of integrity and confidentiality when handling financial information.
