Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of related work experience in private or public accounting.
• At least Accounting Officer level experience or function.

Responsibilities

• Prepares monthly financial and analytical reports.
• Ensure compliance to BIR, SEC, and Municipal requirements.
• Assists in the completion of manuals and enhancements of process.
• Participates in development and implementation of strategic finance initiatives.
• Assists in improving inventory management process.
• Contributes to KPI targets and annual goals by developing and updating plans and processes.
• Provides coaching and day-to-day leadership to subordinates.
• Notifies Finance Group Head of discrepancies or shortfalls.

About the role

The Finance Officer is a supervisory position responsible for planning, organizing, and coaching the operational transactions and performance of the finance team. The role performs accounting functions that involve significant accountability and decision-making responsibility.

Key responsibilities

• Prepares monthly financial and analytical reports
• Ensure compliance to BIR, SEC, and Municipal requirements
• Assists in the completion of manuals and enhancements of process
• Assists in formulating Finance Business Unit's future direction by participating in the development and implementation of strategic plans and tactical initiatives
• Assists in improvement of inventory management process
• Contributes to the achievement of KPI targets, annual goals, objectives and work standards by developing, implementing, updating and evaluating plans, policies, work processes, systems and procedures
• Provides coaching and day to day leadership to improve and develop performance of the subordinates
• Immediately notifies the Finance Group Head and related personnel as to discrepancies and other shortfalls that might put the company in jeopardy

About you

• BS Accountancy
• 5 years of related work experience in Private or Public Accounting
• At least Accounting Officer level previous main job responsibility or function
• Preferably Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
