Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Officer to oversee the company's financial operations, including accounting, payroll, budgeting, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate financial records, timely payroll processing, compliance with government regulations, and providing financial insights to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
- Monitor daily financial transactions and ensure proper documentation.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Accounting
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Coordinate with external auditors and government agencies during audits.
Payroll Administration
- Process payroll accurately and on time.
- Compute salaries, overtime, deductions, and statutory contributions.
- Ensure compliance with payroll-related government regulations.
- Maintain employee payroll records and resolve payroll concerns.
Budgeting and Forecasting
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor budget utilization and identify variances.
- Prepare financial analyses and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
- Support management in financial planning and decision-making.
Compliance and Reporting
- Prepare and submit government reports related to BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and payroll information.
Administrative Support
- Prepare financial presentations and management reports.
- Recommend improvements to financial processes and internal controls.
- Perform other finance and accounting duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance, accounting, and payroll.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine accounting standards, payroll processes, and government statutory compliance.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas such as VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, IF, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables, Conditional Formatting, Data Validation, and basic financial modeling.
- Experience with accounting software is an advantage.
