The Accounting Officer is responsible for overseeing the integrity of all financial transactions, ensuring accurate reporting, managing daily operations, and ensuring compliance.
- Oversee day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable. Manages a team of 4 Accounting Staff.
- Handle end-to-end payroll processing, including the accurate computation of salaries, deductions, and government contributions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and withholding tax).
- Reconcile bank statements and all other financial accounts on a regular and timely basis.
- Prepare and ensure the accuracy of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information to internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of all required documents for audits and provide primary support during audit processes.
- Monitor daily cash flow to ensure adequate funds are available for operational needs.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
- Utilize financial software and systems for accurate record-keeping and reporting.
- Reporting to the Finance Manager on all aspects of accounting operations and for guidance.
- Other related tasks as may be assigned by the immediate line manager or senior management.
Core Competencies & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is strongly preferred.
- Proven experience in general accounting, with demonstrated experience in a senior or supervisory capacity.
- Direct, hands‑on experience with full‑cycle payroll processing and Philippine government remittances (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR).
- In-depth knowledge of general accounting principles and standards.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Exceptional attention to detailand a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
