Job summary

Trust Company in the Philippines seeks a senior finance professional to lead the entire finance and accounting function as the sole representative. You will drive month-end close, ensure accurate financial statements, and maintain strong controls in a dynamic, regulated environment.

The role requires professional credentials (CA/ACCA/CPA or equivalent), 5-8 years of relevant experience, and proficiency with Excel and accounting systems.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing full sets of accounts independently.
• Hands-on finance professional in standalone role within a trust/financial services setting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and tax compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage full spectrum of finance and accounting functions for the Trust Company as the sole finance representative.
• Prepare full sets of accounts, including monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing, including journal entries, reconciliations and financial analysis.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, payments and cash flow management.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and management reports with financial insights to management.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, statutory requirements and tax regulations.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities on all finance-related matters.
• Prepare and submit statutory returns, tax filings and regulatory reports within stipulated deadlines.
• Maintain and strengthen financial controls, accounting policies and finance processes.
• Manage banking relationships, treasury matters and authorised payment processes.
• Support business planning, financial modelling and ad hoc projects as required.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reporting accuracy.

• Comfortable working as a standalone finance professional in a hands-on environment.

• Strong knowledge of Singapore accounting standards, tax and statutory requirements.

• Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
