Job summary

InvestEd in the Philippines seeks a Finance leader to supervise day-to-day operations including bookkeeping, payroll, accounts payable, disbursements and bank reconciliations.

You will ensure accurate financial reporting, lead month-end close, and maintain robust controls while ensuring regulatory compliance and audit readiness. The role requires FP&A involvement, budgeting, forecasting, and strong leadership with excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in a finance or accounting leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of PFRS, IFRS, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in FP&A including budgeting and forecasting; financial modeling is a plus.
• Advanced proficiency in financial tools (Excel, ERP systems, or accounting software like Zero Books).
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Job description

• Supervise day-to-day finance operations, including bookkeeping, payroll, accounts payable, disbursements, and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure payments and financial transactions are properly supported, authorized, recorded, and reconciled.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of the company’s books and financial records, and prepare timely P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close, including reconciliations, accruals, adjustments, and supporting schedules, in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Maintain and improve financial controls, policies, procedures, approval processes, and audit trails to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
• Ensure timely and accurate compliance with tax, statutory, regulatory, lender, and audit requirements.

Cash Management & Planning

• Maintain accurate visibility over the company’s cash position, cash movements, financial obligations, and short-term liquidity requirements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow projections, and variance analysis to provide management with reliable financial information for decision-making.

Finance Team Supervision

• Supervise the Finance team and ensure timely and accurate completion of accounting, reporting, reconciliation, disbursement, and compliance activities.
• Ensure critical finance processes are properly documented, reviewed, and not dependent on a single individual.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven expertise in accounting and financial reporting, with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a finance or accounting leadership role.
• Strong understanding of PFRS, IFRS, other relevant accounting standards and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in FP&A including budgeting and forecasting. Experience in financial modeling is a plus
• Advanced proficiency in financial tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems, or accounting software like Zero Books)
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate data into insights
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
