Job summary

CLEVR is seeking a Finance Manager in Makati to oversee daily accounting operations, IFRS alignment, and tax compliance for a growing fintech lender. You will manage financial reporting and liaise with regulators, banks, and auditors.

The role requires a CPA/ACCA, 5+ years in finance, knowledge of BIR/SEC, strong Excel and ERP skills, and English fluency; Mandarin is a plus. Onsite in Makati with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is highly preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive financial management experience in Consumer Finance or Fintech lending is required.
• Minimum 3 years managing financial operations within Southeast Asian markets is required.
• Deep familiarity with Philippine tax structures, BIR regulations, SEC requirements, and local corporate compliance frameworks.
• Strong proficiency in corporate accounting software, advanced Excel modeling, and automated accounting workflows.
• Full professional fluency in English is required; Mandarin proficiency is a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily accounting operations ensuring revenue recognition, bad debt provisions, and general ledger reconciliations comply with IFRS and Philippine accounting frameworks.
• Direct preparation and timely submission of financial statements and disclosures in compliance with SEC requirements.
• Lead the annual audit process as primary liaison for external auditors and Group internal audits.
• Ensure accurate filing and timely remittance of CIT, VAT, and EWT to the BIR; evaluate business transactions for tax implications and mitigate corporate tax risks.
• Represent the organization in maintaining compliant and transparent relationships with the BIR and other regulatory bodies.
• Design and enforce payment, reimbursement, and disbursement policies; develop internal financial control systems tailored to a digital lending environment.
• Participate in the assessment of new lending products, designing chart of accounts, accounting workflows, and evaluating tax implications.
• Expand local financing channels and manage strategic partnerships with Philippine commercial banks and financial institutions.

Role Overview
