Job summary

RetailWise, based in Makati, Philippines, seeks an experienced Finance Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting and financial operations. You will lead monthly and annual closings, review reports, and ensure compliance with tax regulations while driving cost control and financial improvements.

The role requires at least 7 years of accounting experience, a degree in Accounting/Finance, and strong Excel/ERP skills. CPA is preferred but not required; prior experience with external audits is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in Accounting and Finance, with managerial or supervisory experience.
  • CPA qualification is preferred but not required.
  • Strong experience in general accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management.
  • Experience in cost control, accounts receivable, collections, invoicing, and supplier payments.
  • Experience in handling or coordinating external audits.
  • Preferably with experience in Retail, Construction, Engineering, Property, and Manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, and applicable tax and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting and finance operations, including general accounting and cost control.
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Review financial statements, reconciliations, budgets, forecasts, and management reports.
  • Monitor cash flow, cash forecasts, and the overall financial position of the business.
  • Oversee invoicing, collections, accounts receivable, and supplier payments.
  • Monitor outstanding receivables and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
  • Coordinate external audits and ensure timely submission of required financial documents.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, company policies, and internal controls.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support management decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting and financial processes.
  • Perform other Finance and Accounting duties or analyses as assigned by management.
