Job summary

RetailWise in Davao City, Philippines, seeks a seasoned Finance leader to manage the finance and accounting function. The role oversees month-end close, financial reporting, and compliance across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, taxation, payroll, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in ERP and accounting systems, with strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including Profit & Loss Statements and Balance Sheets
  • Monitor actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing relevant financial analysis and recommendations to management
  • Provide financial insights and guidance to regional operations and business leaders to support informed business decisions
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timely recording of financial transactions
  • Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and month-end closing activities
  • Supervise payroll processing, banking transactions, and payment activities to ensure accuracy and timely execution
  • Review inventory reconciliations and validate stock variances to support accurate financial reporting
  • Maintain effective internal controls and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, labor laws, and company policies
  • Lead, supervise, coach, and develop finance and administrative team members to achieve operational and performance objectives
  • Support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of ERP, accounting, POS, and other financial systems
