Finance Manager – Pawnshop Operations

Location: Ortigas, Pasig City
Employment Type: Full-time, on-site
Work Schedule: Monday to Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

We are looking for an experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to lead the Finance Department of a local pawnshop business. The Finance Manager will oversee financial operations, strengthen internal controls, and provide insights that support branch profitability and business growth.

The role will supervise three sections: Accounting, Treasury and Cash Management, and Basing and Analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the Finance Department, ensuring accurate reporting, effective cash management, and timely financial analysis.

• Oversee daily accounting activities across head office and branches, including financial records, reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing.

• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, budgets, and forecasts.

• Manage cash flow, liquidity, branch funding requirements, bank accounts, and cash reconciliations.

• Monitor pawn loan balances, interest income, service charges, and related financial transactions.

• Review the accounting and reconciliation of redeemed and unredeemed pledges, auction proceeds, and rematado sales.

• Analyze branch performance, operating expenses, and profitability, recommending practical improvements.

• Develop financial dashboards and performance reports to support management decisions.

• Strengthen internal controls over cash, financial transactions, inventory records, and asset safeguarding.

• Oversee tax filings and coordinate with compliance personnel on applicable regulatory reporting.

• Coordinate with external auditors and support internal audits, ensuring timely resolution of findings.

• Lead, coach, and develop the finance team, establishing clear responsibilities and performance standards.

• Work closely with Operations and other departments to resolve concerns and improve financial processes.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy.

• At least five years of relevant finance or accounting experience, including two years in a supervisory or managerial role.

• Experience in pawnshops, lending, financial services, or businesses with multiple branches is strongly preferred.

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, Philippine taxation, budgeting, treasury operations, cash management, and internal controls.

• Familiarity with pawnshop transactions, branch reconciliations, and related financial processes.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.

• High standards of integrity, accuracy, accountability, and confidentiality.

• Willing and available to work on-site in Ortigas, Pasig City, Monday to Saturday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
