Job summary

Maersk in the Philippines is seeking an Accounting Operations professional to oversee day-to-day financial transactions with accuracy and regulatory compliance. You will handle general and cost accounting, as well as budget accounting and accounts payable/receivable review for European entities.

The role emphasizes technical accounting knowledge, collaboration with process owners, and the ability to work independently while under supervision for complex tasks.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
• Overall 5 to 6 years experience.
• Highly analytical, adaptable and agile.
• Handled accounting to reporting in the past.
• Knowledge in accounts receivable and accounts payable processes is an advantage, but not required.
• Willing to work on a night shift schedule.
• Willing to work overtime during closing whenever the business needs.
• An analytical mind that is able to link/ relate to and analyze information.
• Good stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly balance sheet review for in-scope entities in Europe region, verifying accuracy and substantiation of accounts.
• Coordinate financial statement analysis and consolidate accounting and tax information.
• Coordinate internal control attestation with relevant control performers.
• Transition project management activities and finance platform migration management.
• Support Area Accounting Manager or Area Head ATR and Financial Controlling.
