Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field; CPA strongly preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting, controllership, audit, or finance operations.
• 4+ years in a leadership or people management role.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general accounting, internal controls, A/P, A/R, cash management, and Philippine tax and regulatory requirements.
• Experience managing month-end and year-end close processes, external audits, and financial compliance requirements.
• Experience in regulated healthcare/insurance fintech or high-growth environments advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve financial policies, procedures, and internal controls across accounting, payables, receivables, and related finance operations.
• Ensure transactions are properly authorized, documented, recorded, and supported in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Identify financial control gaps and drive corrective actions with relevant teams.
• Oversee General Accounting and month-end/year-end close processes to ensure complete, accurate, and timely financial records.
• Review general ledger balances, account reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules.
• Ensure timely preparation of reliable financial statements and management reports.
• Partner with Finance leadership in analyzing financial results and resolving material accounting or reporting issues.
• Oversee A/P and A/R operations, ensuring payments and collections; manage provider payable data.
• Develop and enhance A/P reporting and monitoring tools; establish operating metrics and indicators.
• Drive process and system improvements across financial operations with automation.
• Collaborate with Product, Data, Healthcare Operations to incorporate financial requirements into new systems.
• Lead Finance audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax advisers, regulators as required.
• Provide leadership across General Accounting, A/P, A/R, and compliance.
• Generate and review financial reports for management decision-making.
• Identify opportunities to improve operating model, controls, workflows, and technology.
• Partner with leadership on financial risks and priorities.
