Job summary

ING Belgium's Finance ING Belgium hub in the Philippines invites a Finance Business Controller to lead planning, forecasting, cost management and management reporting. You will translate complex numbers into clear insights for senior stakeholders and support strategic decisions across functions.

Based in the Philippines, you will collaborate with global teams, optimize cost allocation, and enhance dashboards with Excel, Power BI and ThinkCell to drive transparency and better financial outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• Master's degree or professional certifications (CPA/CMA/CFA) are advantageous.
• 7–10 years of FP&A, cost management, or management reporting experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis across business areas.
• Monitor and analyze cost performance, identify trends, risks, opportunities, and variances.
• Improve cost allocation, cost charging, and cost modelling across cross‑functional environment.

Role Summary

As a Finance Business Controller, you will play a key role in planning, forecasting, cost management, and management reporting. You will support business leaders with reliable financial insights that drive informed decision‑making and help optimize financial performance. You will work in a dynamic international environment where collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement are highly valued. About the Team

You'll be part of a global finance community supporting ING Belgium while being based in ING Hubs Philippines. The team partners closely with business leaders and department heads to provide financial transparency, improve cost management, and support sustainable business growth. Working across functions, you'll help ensure that financial information is meaningful, actionable, and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis for assigned business areas.
• Monitor and analyze cost performance, identifying key trends, risks, opportunities, and variances.
• Maintain and improve cost allocation, cost charging, and cost modelling methodologies across a complex cross‑functional environment.
• Partner with Department Heads and Business Managers by providing financial advice and business‑focused recommendations.
• Translate complex financial information into clear management insights and reporting.
• Enhance dashboards, analytics, financial visualizations, and reporting processes to improve transparency and decision‑making.
• Support cost optimization initiatives through data‑driven analysis and performance monitoring.
• Contribute to strategic planning activities and continuous improvement initiatives within Finance.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, CFA, or a master's degree is an advantage.
• 7 to 10 years of experience in FP&A, business controlling, finance advisory, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, or cost management.
• Experience within banking, financial services, multinational organizations, or a business partnering environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial planning, forecasting, performance analysis, cost allocation, cost modelling, and management reporting.
• Advanced skills in Excel, Power Query, Power BI, ThinkCell, and enterprise planning systems.
• Experience working with large and complex datasets and transforming data into business insights.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
• Ability to challenge constructively, work independently, and build trusted partnerships across senior levels.
