Job summary

Travel + Leisure Co. is hiring an Assistant Accountant in Morong, Philippines, to join a regional finance team. The role involves daily bank reconciliations, GL entries, fixed assets, month-end close support, and tax documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field is required.
• 2–3 years of accounting experience preferred; AP/AR and reconciliations helpful.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with accounting systems (Sun System a plus).

Responsibilities

• Process daily bank reconciliations and GL entries as directed.
• Maintain general accruals schedule for all Club locations and update monthly invoices.
• Prepare monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding items.
• Process additions/disposals in Fixed Assets Register and GL; update monthly reconciliations.
• Support month-end close with schedules and documentation.
• Maintain accurate financial records and filing of supporting docs.
• Assist in tax-related documentation and compliance reports (GST/BAS).
• Provide data/support for audits and statutory reporting.
• Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to resolve queries promptly.
• Contribute to internal controls and process improvements.
