Latte Recruitment is seeking a Finance Assistant in Makati, Philippines, to ensure accurate financial data, optimize processes, and guide the finance team. The role covers accounts payable/receivable, treasury reconciliations, and ad-hoc reporting under the Finance Supervisor and Manager.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field and 1–2 years in accounting or finance, plus hands-on experience with QuickBooks or Xero, and strong Excel skills.
For the Finance Assistant role, the team is seeking a candidate with strong technical expertise, and a proactive, results-oriented approach. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy of financial data, improving processes, and guiding our finance team.
1. Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage all aspects of accounts payable by verifying invoices and supporting documents, and ensuring timely payment processing.
On the accounts receivable side, ensure billing statements and supporting documents are accurate and that invoices are sent promptly to clients. Track receivables through weekly aging reports, send payment reminders, and follow up on overdue accounts. Record all payments accurately in the accounting system.
2. Treasury and Reconciliation: Maintain a strong focus on reconciliation and treasury management. Conduct internal reconciliations between the Accounts Receivable ledger and the General Ledger, and perform weekly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate cash flow.
Manage company bank accounts, and act as the petty cash custodian with weekly fund replenishments. Additionally, oversee all bank-related transactions, including account openings and closures. Prepare cash flow and cash position reports to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
3. You may also be tasked with preparing ad-hoc reports as requested by the Finance Supervisor and Finance Manager and assisting with urgent tasks in the absence of team members to ensure business continuity.
