Job summary

Yinshan Lending Inc. is seeking a seasoned Finance Director to lead financial accounting, tax compliance, and internal controls in the Philippines.

The role focuses on IFRS and local GAAP adherence, SEC disclosures, and annual audits, while optimizing cash flow for a fast-growing fintech lending platform. The ideal candidate has strong experience in consumer finance, deep knowledge of BIR regulations, and a CPA or equivalent certification, with a track record in Southeast Asia.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily accounting operations ensuring IFRS and Philippine local standards compliance.
• Direct preparation and timely submission of financial statements and SEC disclosures.
• Oversee annual audit process with external auditors and coordinate with internal audits.
• Manage tax filings for CIT, VAT, and EWT with the BIR.
• Design and enforce internal controls and cash flow management for a digital lending environment.
• Assist product launches by mapping accounts, accounting workflows, and tax implications.
• Foster relationships with Philippine banks and licensed financial institutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Core Accounting: Lead daily accounting operations to ensure revenue recognition, bad debt provisions, and general ledger reconciliations strictly comply with IFRS and Philippine local accounting frameworks.
• Statutory Compliance: Direct the preparation and timely submission of all required financial statements and disclosures in compliance with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) requirements.
• Audit Leadership: Lead the annual audit process, serving as the primary liaison for external auditors to ensure smooth completion of statutory audits and alignment with Group internal audits.

2. Tax & Compliance Management

• Tax Filing: Ensure accurate calculation, filing, and timely remittance of local taxes, including Corporate Income Tax (CIT), Value-Added Tax (VAT), and Expanded Withholding Tax (EWT), to the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
• Tax Advisory: Evaluate daily business transactions and operational initiatives to determine tax implications, proactively mitigating corporate tax risks.
• Regulatory Liaison: Formally represent the company to maintain professional, compliant, and transparent relationships with the BIR and other governing bodies.

3. Internal Control & Cash Flow Management

• Process Design: Design and enforce structured payment, reimbursement, and disbursement policies to optimize cost and expense management.
• Risk Controls: Develop and implement rigorous internal financial control systems tailored to a digital lending environment to protect company assets and ensure cash security.

4. Product & Business Support

• Product Launch Evaluation: Participate in the assessment of new lending products, designing the necessary chart of accounts, accounting workflows, and evaluating downstream tax implications.
• Banking & Treasury: Expand local financing channels and manage strategic partnerships with Philippine commercial banks and licensed financial institutions.

6. Others:

• Perform other tasks as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications:

1. Experience:

• Industry Track Record: Minimum of 5 years of progressive financial management experience specifically within the Consumer Finance or Fintech lending sector.
• Regional Context: Minimum of 3 years of experience managing financial operations within Southeast Asian markets.
• Local Expertise: Deep familiarity with Philippine tax structures, BIR regulations, SEC requirements, and local corporate compliance frameworks is heavily preferred.

2. Education:

• Academic Background: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), ACCA, or equivalent professional certification is highly preferred. 3. Skills & Competencies:
