Job summary

PwC in Makati, Philippines is seeking an experienced Senior Associate in Finance to support monthly management reporting, financial analysis, and cross‑functional collaboration. You will liaise with auditors, tax teams, and corporate secretaries to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with Singaporean accounting standards and tax rules, working in a hybrid setup in Makati.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of local accounting requirements and Singapore FRSs is a MUST.
• Familiar with Singapore tax rules (GST, Withholding Tax) and cross-territory communication.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, with pivot tables and lookups.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management reports per applicable standards (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Notes to Financial Statements).
• Analyse financial reports for partners and managers, including trade debtors, WIP, and cost analysis for Operating Statements.
• Coordinate with auditors during year-end audits and prepare necessary documents.
• Coordinate with Tax Team on Corporate, GST and Withholding Tax submissions; address tax queries.
• Review Transfer Pricing reports for accuracy.
• Prepare XBRL filings per local Singapore regulations.
• Assist Corporate Secretary with board resolutions and statutory requirements.
• Assist with financing matters: loan drawdowns and renewals; liaise with local banks.
• Assist with engagement team questions and local requirement submissions to government bodies (ACRA/IRAS).
• Assist with ad-hoc financial projects and audits.

Those in accounting at PwC will focus on managing financial records, analysing data, and assisting in compliance with accounting standards. You will play a crucial role in providing accurate financial information and insights to support decision-making.

About the Role

• Preparation of monthly management reports as per Singapore Reporting Standards which includes but not limited to Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Notes to Financial Statements, etc.
• Preparation and analysing of financial reports to all partners and managers, which includes but not limited to trade debtors’ reports, WIP reports, costs analysis for Operating Statements, etc.
• Coordinate and liaise with auditors for year-end audit. Collate documents and confidential documents for auditors to sight as well as preparing necessary equipment and access pass during the whole audit period.
• Coordinate and liaising with Tax Team on Corporate, GST and Commercial Tax submission for the Company on quarterly, half yearly and yearly basis. Need to be familiar with the local tax regulation so as to be able to answer the tax queries from tax agent or tax authority.
• Responsible in providing information and review reports prepared by Transfer Pricing Team to ensure accuracy.
• Preparation of XBRL filing for the Company in accordance with local Singapore regulation.
• Initiate and liaise with Corporate Secretary for Board resolutions or fulfilment of corporate statutory requirement.
• Applying for Certificate of Residence for the Company in respect of withholding tax treaty between Singapore and other countries.
• Managing the financing matters which includes arranging of drawdown and renewal of bank loans, advising Finance Head on latest loan interest rate and etc. Acting as key contact person with the local bank for other banking related matters.
• Assist to call in to ACRA, IRAS or other local government bodies as and when required to help to address engagement team’s questions or for local requirement submission.
• Preparation of mid-month and monthly payment and liaising with the engagement team on the payment status.
• Assist in preparation of reporting package such as half year Disclosure Template, ASEANZ Tax Pack reporting, etc.
• Assist in special audit, namely Agreed Upon Procedures as required by Indonesia Transfer Pricing team on HQ cost allocations, which include liaising with SG auditors and handling the audit field work and in person document sightings.
• Assist with other financial projects or ad-hoc duties as assigned.

About You

• A Degree in Accounting, Finance or other related discipline
• Minimum 3 - 5 years and above of relevant work experience
• Good working knowledge of local accounting requirements, Financial Reporting Standards in Singapore (FRSs) is a MUST
• Knowledge in Singapore tax rules and regulations (such as Singapore GST and Withholding Tax) are required.
• Ability to communicate with various territories and level of personnel in writing and verbal format.
• Well-versed in MS Office, especially Excel, including working with pivot tables, HLOOKUPS, VLOOKUPS. Ability to perform automation of reports using relevant tools.
• Able to multitask, including the ability to manage several competing priorities at the same time.
• Knowledge and skills in performing financial analysis is a plus.
• Energetic and self-motivated, and the ability to work independently yet achieve set goals and targets within deadlines is preferred.
