The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, with GAAP knowledge and strong Excel skills. CPA or CFA is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Process and record transactions in general ledger and subsidiary accounts.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close, including journal entries.
• Conduct variance analyses and explain budget deviations.
• Support preparation of financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
• Maintain and organise financial documentation and schedules.
• Collaborate with other departments to clarify accounting entries.
• Assist with audits by providing documentation and explanations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in finance.

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Analyst to join Manpower Outsourcing Services, Inc. in a contract position based in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City, Metro Manila. This role operates on a night shift schedule and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our financial operations during extended hours. As a Finance Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting our financial accounting and reporting functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial information that drives business decision-making. This position is integral to maintaining the integrity of our financial records and supporting the broader finance team's objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements and reports in accordance with accounting standards and company policies
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure accuracy of financial records
• Process and record financial transactions in the general ledger and subsidiary accounts
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries and account analyses
• Conduct variance analyses and provide explanations for budget deviations
• Support the preparation of financial reports for management and external stakeholders
• Maintain and organise financial documentation and supporting schedules
• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and clarify accounting entries
• Assist with audits by providing requested documentation and explanations of transactions
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies within the finance function

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proven experience in financial accounting and reporting, ideally in a similar analytical role
• Strong proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and advanced formulas)
• Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies accurately
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work through complex financial data
• Ability to work independently during night shift hours whilst maintaining high-quality output
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Professional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members
• Flexibility and adaptability to a night shift work schedule
• Professional certification such as CPA or CFA is desirable but not essential
