Job summary

Sun Life Philippines is seeking a meticulous Accountant to join our Finance team. You will handle monthly reconciliations, ensure compliance with GAAP, and support management with timely financial reporting.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams and interact with auditors and regulators as needed. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in general accounting, experience with reconciliations, and a strong command of Excel.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
Experience: 2–3 years in General Accounting; 1 year in reconciliations.
Familiar with GAAP and regulatory standards in multiple jurisdictions including US, Canada, and Philippine.
Proficient in Excel; SAP and related financial systems experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations for assigned accounts.
Maintain reconciliation guidelines and ensure balance accuracy before submission.
Identify variances and escalate to the Manager as needed.
Provide financial support schedules and reports for management, auditors and regulators.
Document end-to-end processes and support control activities.
Support risk controls and internal control assessments.
