Job description

Key Responsibilities
Purpose of the Position

This role keeps World Vision's grants information trustworthy - and turns it into analysis that leaders act on. The analyst maintains a single source of truth for grants data across iMPAQ, Horizon, PBAS and the Finance Data Warehouse, and builds the automated Power BI and AI-assisted reporting that GFFO, regional and field offices rely on. Working across seven regions and Global Center departments, the analyst analyses burn rate, cost recovery, grant health, audit follow-up and labour distribution to surface financial and compliance risk early enough to act on. The role suits an analyst who enjoys untangling data, automating manual work, and seeing their analysis change decisions.

Major Responsibilities
Financial Analysis & Reporting
  • Prepare and analyze grants financial reports and analysis for partnership stakeholders, including Burn rate and grant expenditure analysis, Quarterly grant reports for Grant Acquisition & Management (GAM), Quarterly Financial scorecards, Compliance and risk management reports, Grant support cost variance (GSCV) and cost recovery analysis, Grant Health Tracker (GHT) and Other monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports and analysis
  • Interpret the numbers, not just produce them: highlight trends, outliers, and emerging risks, with a clear recommendation for the offices concerned.
  • Monitor and track implementation of grant audit findings and recommendations and report key trends for follow-up with offices.
  • Provide data support, validation and guidance to Disaster Management (DM) Finance and other grant stakeholders on data-related queries and feedback.
  • Work with FPRA-FO on field financial planning and reporting requirements, so that grants reporting and field reporting stay aligned.
Automation, Analytics & Continuous Improvement
  • Design, build and maintain automated reporting and analysis solutions for grants financial and compliance reporting, including Donor report templates, Grants financial reports - burn rate, cost recovery, Global Fund, GHT and similar, and Compliance reports - labor distribution analysis, screening and audit tracking
  • Apply AI-assisted tools together with Power BI and Power Query to automate repetitive analysis, detect patterns and improve accuracy.
  • Identify manual, error-prone processes within GFFO, re-engineer them, and document the solution so colleagues can run and maintain it.
  • Continuously improve analysis tools and templates so that reporting on grants information is faster, cleaner and less dependent on manual handling.
  • Contribute to the financial reporting self-service initiative, building and maintaining reports and dashboards that stakeholders can run themselves, with clear guidance on their use.
Grants Data Management & System Integration
  • Maintain complete, accurate and synchronized grants data across World Vision systems - including iMPAQ (Horizon), PBAS, and the Finance Data Warehouse - working with Support Offices, Field Offices, Regional Offices and GFSC.
  • Perform grant code tagging, funding opportunity to project budget linkage, and periodic grants data reconciliation across systems.
  • Review and analyze entries made in iMPAQ, Horizon, PBAS and OLAP; trace mismatches to their source and resolve them there rather than working around them.
  • Escalate recurring data-quality issues with a proposed fix, and support system changes, testing and go-live activities that affect grants data.
  • Participate in the unified finance data management process led by GFSC, so that grants data definitions, sourcing and quality standards align with the partnership approach.
Laor Distribution Report (LDR) Validation & Reporting
  • Work with Field Offices and the Workday Operations Team to validate the accuracy and completeness of Labor Distribution Reports (LDR) and LDR data in Workday.
  • Check for duplicate, missing or late LDR records in the LDR database and follow through to correction.
  • Report LDR compliance results to regional and field stakeholders and advise on recurring issues and corrective action.
Capacity Building & Other Responsibilities
  • Share knowledge and provide practical guidance and orientation to regional and field finance colleagues on grants data, reporting tools and compliance requirements.
  • Contribute to other tasks, projects or working groups as assigned by managers and leaders, or as need arises from stakeholders' requirements.
Requirements

Minimum 4 years of relevant finance experience, ideally in an international NGO, multilateral organization, or international audit / accounting environment (5-6 years an advantage) At least 2 years of working
