Qualifications:
A. Education (preferred level)
- Graduate of any 4 or 5-year course (Accountancy, Management Accounting, Finance Management or any business related course.)
- Computer Literate (Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
B. Experience (the minimum level of direct experience in a similar position).
- 0 to 3 years related experience.

Job Description:
The Finance Analyst – General Accounting (Accounts Payable / Liabilities) is responsible for the accounting, reconciliation, and reporting of accounts payable and other liability-related balances. The role focuses on ensuring accurate recording, proper cutoff, timely reconciliations, and audit‑ready documentation of AP, accrued expenses, and intercompany liabilities. The Finance Analyst supports month‑end closing, Funds Review reporting, and compliance with accounting standards and internal controls, working closely with the Accounts Payable Team Leader and cross‑functional stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities:
A. Accounts Payable & Liabilities Accounting
- Accounts Payable Accounting
- Reviews and ensures accurate recording of AP transactions in the ERP system, including correct vendor, GL account, cost center, and posting period.
- Monitors AP balances to ensure proper classification between trade payables, accruals, and other liabilities.
- Coordinates with the AP Team Leader on payment timing and items impacting AP balances and cutoff.
- Accrued Expenses & Other Liabilities
- Prepares and updates monthly accruals for unbilled goods and services.
- Monitors outstanding accruals and ensures timely reversal or settlement.
- Ensures accruals are supported by appropriate documentation and approvals.
- Liability Recognition & Cutoff
- Ensures liabilities are recognized in the correct accounting period in accordance with accrual accounting principles.
- Prevents double recognition or omission of liabilities by validating accruals, reversals, invoices, and postings.
B. Intercompany Liabilities
- Intercompany Reconciliation
- Performs monthly reconciliation of intercompany AP balances.
- Coordinates with counterpart companies to investigate and resolve differences.
- Ensures intercompany balances are cleared, confirmed, and ready for consolidation and elimination.
C. General Accounting & Month-End Closing
- Journal Entries
- Prepares and posts AP‑ and liability‑related journal entries with correct GL accounts, descriptions, and posting periods.
- Ensures journal entries comply with internal controls and approval requirements.
- GL Account Reconciliation
- Performs and completes monthly reconciliations of AP, accrued expenses, intercompany liabilities, and other assigned liability accounts.
- Investigates and resolves reconciling items in a timely and documented manner.
- Maintains reconciliations in an audit‑ready condition.
- Books of Accounts Preparation and Submission
- Prepares and submit Cash Disbursement Books entries with correct accounts, amounts, descriptions, and posting periods
D. Reporting & Coordination
- Weekly Reporting
- Prepares and submits weekly updates covering AP balances, intercompany status, and significant movements.
- Monthly Funds Review Reporting
- Prepares monthly AP aging, accrued liability schedules, and intercompany balance reports for Funds Review.
- Analyzes movements and explains variances versus prior period and budget.
- Coordinates with departments to validate explanations and resolve issues impacting reported balances.
- Cross‑Functional Coordination
- Works closely with the AP Team Leader, Treasury, Procurement, HR, Plant Finance, and IT to address accounting, reconciliation, and documentation issues.
E. Audit Support (Year End, Internal Audit and Others)
- Actively participates in interim and year‑end audits related to Liabilities and general accounting.
- Supports audit walkthroughs, sampling, and control discussions.
- Prepares and provides Liabilities schedules, GL reconciliations, and audit evidence and other requirements of auditor.
- Assists in the resolution and closure of audit findings related to Liabilities accounting and related GL Accounts
- Participates in related internal audits and other similar audits.
F. Training, Corporate Programs & Site Engagement
- Participates in internal, external, and cross‑department trainings related to assets, accounting, systems, and controls.
- Provides basic training or knowledge‑sharing sessions on asset, AACE, and accounting processes, as required.
- Participates in corporate special programs and initiatives.
- Travels to plant sites, as needed, to support asset validation, audits, and special assignments
