Job summary

CLASQUIN Philippines is seeking a senior finance leader to oversee accounting, treasury, budgeting, forecasting and reporting. You will drive close processes, develop forecasts, and deliver management reports to support strategic decisions.

Ideal candidates bring 8–10 years in finance with at least 5 years in leadership, strong knowledge of Philippine standards, and experience in logistics-related services. CPA preferred; ERP and MS Office proficiency essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent preferred.
  • 8–10 years progressive finance experience in relevant industry.
  • At least 5 years in finance leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine accounting standards and taxation.
  • Experience in freight forwarding, logistics or service industries is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Management and Reporting
  • Lead the accounting, treasury, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting activities of CLASQUIN Philippines.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing and reporting in accordance with Group requirements.
  • Prepare reliable financial forecasts, budgets and management reports to support business planning.
  • Monitor financial performance, including revenue, costs, margins, profitability and cash flow, and provide recommendations to management.
  • Provide financial analysis and business insights to support commercial, operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure the integrity, accuracy and completeness of financial records and financial reporting.
Cash Flow and Working Capital Management
  • Manage cash flow, liquidity and working capital to support business operations and growth.
  • Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable and banking activities.
  • Monitor customer collections and supplier payments to ensure compliance with agreed terms.
  • Partner with Commercial and Operations teams to improve billing accuracy, collection performance and working capital efficiency.
  • Identify financial risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
Compliance, Controls and Audit
  • Ensure compliance with Philippine accounting standards, tax regulations, statutory requirements and other applicable legal obligations.
  • Maintain effective internal controls and ensure proper implementation of Group finance policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
  • Manage relationships with auditors, tax authorities, banks and other financial stakeholders.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and ensure ongoing compliance with applicable financial and statutory requirements.
Business Partnership and Performance Management
  • Partner with Operations, Commercial and Functional leaders to strengthen cost control, financial discipline and profitability.
  • Support pricing, investment and business-development decisions through financial evaluation and analysis.
  • Monitor financial and operational KPIs and highlight areas requiring management attention.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, annual budgeting and performance-review processes.
  • Drive initiatives that improve financial performance, reporting efficiency and business controls.
Team Leadership and Collaboration
  • Lead, coach and develop the Finance and Accounting team to achieve individual and organisational objectives.
  • Establish clear objectives, responsibilities and performance expectations for team members.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Provide functional guidance and support to HR on payroll, budgeting and employee-related financial matters where required.
  • Act as the primary Finance contact between CLASQUIN Philippines, Regional Management and Group Finance.

Decision-Making Authority

The position is authorised to:

  • Manage day-to-day finance and accounting activities of CLASQUIN Philippines.
  • Approve routine financial transactions within delegated authority limits.
  • Recommend budgets, forecasts, financial policies and internal-control improvements.
  • Coordinate statutory reporting, tax filings and audit activities.
  • Allocate departmental resources and prioritise finance initiatives to support business objectives.

Final approval for significant financial commitments, exceptional expenditures, banking arrangements and policy exceptions remains subject to CLASQUIN approval policies.

Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
  • Professional accounting qualification (CPA or equivalent) is preferred.
  • At least 8-10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience in finance and accounting management.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine accounting standards, taxation and statutory requirements.
  • Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, transportation or a service-based industry is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury and internal controls.
  • Proven ability to provide financial analysis and strategic business-partnering support.
  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in ERP systems, financial reporting tools and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Fluent English communication skills; Filipino language capability is advantageous.
