Job summary

ELVIL Construction seeks a Site Engineer to join our field team. You'll inspect work, enforce quality and safety, and coordinate between clients, PM, subcontractors, and suppliers. The role emphasizes on-site problem solving and documentation to keep projects on track.

You should have a Civil Engineering degree and be a licensed engineer with 2+ years of field or 3+ years office/construction experience, plus strong reading of drawings and use of AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Registered and licensed Civil Engineer in good standing.
• 2+ years field engineering OR 3+ years office/construction experience.
• Ability to read drawings, specs, and understand codes; AutoCAD literacy.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Valid Driver's License; travel to sites required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and oversee construction quality at job sites.
• Monitor safety compliance and flag issues to PM or Safety Officer.
• Coordinate with client, PM, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Attend site walkthroughs and meetings; document minutes.
• Create daily site reports and maintain project records.
• Track RFIs and manage contract documents.
• Assist in scope changes and prepare cost estimates for variations.
• Monitor progress against schedule and contract terms.
• Handle on-site problem solving in real time.
