WORK SET-UP AND SCHEDULE
Our Field Engineer shall be assigned to the Chain Glass Main Office, which is located at 2630 Rizal Avenue, Brgy. 381, Sta. Cruz, Manila. The work schedule shall be from Monday to Saturday (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM).
JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES
On-Site Technical Execution:
Review engineering blueprints, architectural drawings, and material specifications to determine appropriate sealant types and joint designs.
Inspect substrate conditions for moisture, cleanliness, and structural integrity before application begins.
Troubleshoot application failures or unexpected field conditions and recommend corrective engineering actions.
Coordinate with project managers, site superintendents, and subcontractors to align sealing schedules with the overall project timeline.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
Perform field testing.
Enforce strict compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Material & Safety Management:
Manage sealant inventory, ensuring materials are stored within specified temperature ranges and used before expiration dates.
Oversee safety protocols regarding chemical handling, personal protective equipment (PPE), and ventilation when working with hazardous or volatile organic compounds (VOC).
Documentation & Reporting
Document daily logs, inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance reports.
Report non-conforming products or quality issues.
QUALIFICATIONS
To be a successful Field Engineer, one must:
Have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Architecture, or other related courses.
Have deep knowledge of chemical sealants, including silicones and acrylics.
Understand joint dynamics, thermal expansion/contraction, and adhesion science.
