Job summary

SMC Integrated Farm Specialist Inc. in Calauan, Laguna seeks a Safety Officer to ensure workplace safety and DOLE compliance. The role involves developing policies, conducting inspections, and training staff.

Candidates with a bachelor\'s degree preferred in engineering, nursing, environmental science or related fields, plus experience managing safety programs in medium/high-risk settings and relevant certifications (BOSH, COSH, OSH, SO2) are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in engineering, nursing, environmental science, or related fields.
• Experience in managing safety programs in medium- to high-risk workplaces.
• 40 hours BOSH, COSH, OSH, and SO2 training completed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures aligned with DOLE health and safety plans.
• Conduct workplace inspections to identify hazards and mitigate risks (machinery, electrical, chemical, housekeeping).
• Provide safety training and orientation to employees, contractors and visitors including 8-hour Safety & Health seminars.
• Monitor PPE usage and enforce GMP/ Food Safety practices.
• Assist in incident investigations and emergency planning.
• Represent the company in health and safety committees and promote a culture of safety.

Education

Bachelor's degree preferred (engineering, nursing, environmental science)
