Responsibilities

• Conduct routine checks on standby generator sets and monitor fluid levels.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults in gen-sets for ATS reliability.
• Perform load testing and verify automatic transfer switches under load.
• Inspect and service exhaust fans, ventilation fans, belts and motors.
• Troubleshoot controllers, thermostats, and sensors for farm climate control.
• Maintain water pumps, filters, and piping for evaporative cooling systems.
• Repair feeding augers, hoppers, and water lines to ensure access.
• Maintain space heaters, brooders, and disinfection/misting systems.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns, including outside standard hours.
• Keep spare parts stock to enable rapid repairs and bio-security compliance.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR A MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct routine checks on standby generator sets, including monitoring fluid levels, changing oil/filters, and testing battery health.

• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in gen-sets to ensure instant automatic cut-in during power outages.

• Load Testing: Perform regular simulated power failure tests to verify the reliability of the automatic transfer switches (ATS) and generator performance under load.

• Inspect, repair, and replace exhaust fans, tunnel ventilation fans, and stir fans (including belts, pulleys, motors, and bearings).

• Troubleshoot electronic controllers, thermostats, and sensors that regulate farm temperature and airflow.

• Maintain and repair water pumps, filters, and distribution pipes for the evaporative cooling pad systems.

• Repair automated feeding augers, motors, hoppers, and nipple drinking lines to ensure uninterrupted access to feed and water.

• Maintain space heaters, brooders, and high-pressure farm disinfection/misting systems.

• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, particularly outside standard hours, as equipment failure directly impacts bird mortality.

• Maintain a stock of critical spare parts (e.g., fan belts, motors, fuses, filters) to ensure rapid repairs.

• Adhere strictly to farm bio-security protocols to prevent disease transmission while moving between poultry houses.
