Job summary

AboitizPower seeks an FAO Engineer in Tagum City, Philippines, to maintain office facilities and ensure a clean, safe work environment for staff. You will work with the North Davao Admin Support Department to deliver results and develop in a purpose-driven setting.

Responsibilities include planning resources, supervising staff, coaching, coordinating with stakeholders, and implementing energy conservation and compliance with management systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• At least 3 years of professional experience on building and FAO (Facilities and Operations) Administration.
• Experience in facilities maintenance and operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans resources to implement section objectives and monitors output.
• Manages work of subordinates to deliver section deliverables.
• Recommends training and coaches subordinates for development.
• Conducts feedback sessions to evaluate performance.
• Presides over daily huddles and site visits to address issues and improve performance.
• Collaborates with stakeholders on processes and systems for improvement.
• Ensures clean and safe environments for administrative offices.
• Prepares purchase requisitions for spare parts, furniture, and supplies.
• Organizes scheduling of company vehicles and their upkeep.
• Facilitates contracts for service providers and pre-bid processes.
• Implements energy conservation initiatives in company premises.
• Processes regular administrative tasks such as payments, PO's and liquidations.
• Ensures compliance with ISO IMS, AMS, and other management systems.

As FAO Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance of the company's office facilities to ensure a clean and safe work environment for all employees and contribute directly to transforming energy for a better world. You will work closely with the North Davao Admin Support Department to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be

• Plans the human, equipment, processes, and other resources required to implement the section's objectives and initiatives as well as monitor output or performance.
• Manages the work of subordinate(s) in the excellent execution of the section's deliverables.
• Recommends training programs and takes an active role in the local coaching of subordinate(s) to ensure developmental needs are met.
• Conducts one-on-one feedback sessions to evaluate the performance of direct subordinate(s) and recommends appropriate personnel actions.
• Presides in daily huddles and conducts regular extension office visits to address issues and concerns to improve performance.
• Collaborates and coordinates with stakeholders on processes and systems and recommends plans and programs for improvement.
• Ensures the maintenance of a clean and safe work environment for administrative offices.
• Prepares purchase requisitions for spare parts, furniture, fixtures, and other supplies needed to ensure a good working environment.
• Organizes the scheduling of company vehicles (GO) to employees and monitors their periodic maintenance.
• Facilitates the preparation of contracts for all service providers under North Davao and presides over the contractor pre-bidding process.
• Implements and introduces energy conservation initiatives in the company premises.
• Facilitates necessary administrative tasks for regular company procedures, such as requests for payments, purchase orders, and liquidations.
• Ensures compliance and adherence to ISO IMS, AMS, and other implemented management systems.

To Succeed In This Role, We Need Someone Who

• Demonstrates strong proficiency in Facilities Maintenance and Repair, specifically in managing the maintenance and repair of structures, interiors, exteriors, and grounds to ensure clean and safe environments.
• Possesses expert capability in Facilities Operations, including managing occupant services (janitorial, utilities, parking), enforcing facility rules, and monitoring budgets and expenses.
• Is highly capable in Contract Management, specifically in monitoring service provider performance and conducting contractor evaluations in accordance with AP DU Contract Guidelines.
• Delivers excellent Customer Service to satisfactorily fulfill internal customers' requirements and needs.
• Maintains strict Regulatory and Compliance standards to ensure facilities are compliant with government regulations and company policies.

What You Will Need

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• At least 3 years of professional experience on building and FAO (Facilities and Operations) Administration.

Technical / Functional Skills

• Basic Awareness on Safety and Health (Level 2).
• Basic Awareness on Environmental Management (Level 2).
• Knowledge of Hazardous Chemical / Materials Handling (Level 1).
• Knowledge of Electrical Safety (Level 1).
• Basic Awareness on Asset Management System (AMS) (Level 1).
