Job summary

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. is seeking a Metering Testing & Diagnostics Engineer to perform field audits, testing, and detailed analyses on power meters, non-power meters, and instrument transformers to ensure accuracy and system integrity.

You will work with the North Davao Engineering Support Department to deliver results, contribute to community impact, and develop skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment, while performing field inspections and preparing Field Testing Reports.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Electrical Engineer (Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering).
• Entry-level position (No prior professional, leadership, or project experience required).

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspection, testing, and auditing of power meters, non-power meters, net metering devices, and instrument transformers per ERC In-Service Meter Testing Plan.
• Conduct complex technical analyses including vector diagram analysis, wiring connection troubleshooting, insulation testing, turns ratio testing, and burden testing to diagnose issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare and submit Field Testing Reports (FTR) signed by customers, and generate supporting documentation for Metering Testing and Rehabilitation Plans.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate project completions and resources for scheduled account inspections with team members and supervisors.
• Assist with administrative and safety tasks, such as payment requests, purchase orders, liquidations, material requisitions, 5S standards, and ISO IMS/AMS adherence.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be

• Perform field inspection, testing, and auditing of power meters, non-power meters, net metering devices, and instrument transformers in accordance with the ERC In-Service Meter Testing Plan
• Conduct complex technical analyses including vector diagram analysis, wiring connection troubleshooting, insulation testing, turns ratio testing, and burden testing to diagnose issues and recommend corrective actions
• Ensure accurate and complete preparation and submission of Field Testing Reports (FTR) signed by customers, and generate supporting documentation for the Metering Testing and Rehabilitation Plans
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate project completions and resources for scheduled account inspections, collaborating closely with fellow team members and supervisors
• Facilitate essential administrative and safety compliance tasks, such as requests for payments, purchase orders, liquidations, material requisitions, 5S standards, and adherence to ISO IMS and Asset Management Systems (AMS)

To Succeed In This Role, We Need Someone Who

• Demonstrates advanced capability in Metering Installation and Maintenance (Level 4) to construct, activate, and maintain metering systems in a safe and reliable manner while identifying and managing operational risks
• Possesses exceptional skills in Metering Testing and Wiring Audit (Level 4) to perform precise testing, conduct wiring checks, and successfully troubleshoot errors on metering wiring
• Exhibits high proficiency in Specialized Metering Tools and Equipment Operations (Level 4) to safely operate tools and testing equipment essential to the tasks assigned
• Maintains professional capability in Light Vehicle Operation (Level 4) to safely drive motorbikes and four-wheel vehicles in strict compliance with government traffic rules and company policies
