Job summary

Nidec Subic Philippines is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to manage facility mechanical systems, including HVAC, pumps, compressors and exhaust, ensuring reliable operation to support production and safety.

You will collect data, analyze consumption, perform preventive maintenance, update equipment schedules and P&ID drawings, implement improvements, and document SOPs while upholding strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (required).
• 2+ years experience as Mechanical Engineer, preferably in facility management.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and collect data on mechanical systems (HVAC, pumps, compressors, exhaust).
• Daily update and analysis of mechanical utility consumption.
• Assess and prepare mechanical system maintenance.
• Analyze preventive maintenance inspection and test results.
• Conduct mechanical system trouble analysis and improvement.
• Review and update equipment schedules, P&ID, and ducting/piping layouts.
• Review design and installation based on as-built documentation and plans.
• Modify mechanical systems to support facility and production requirements.
• Prepare and update mechanical system SOPs, PM checklists, and system documents.
• Ensure compliance and develop mechanical safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout and pressure vessel safety training programs.
