Job summary

Excelitas Technologies Philippines, Inc. in Manila, Philippines, seeks a Facilities Manager to develop, implement and oversee preventive maintenance programs for electrical and mechanical systems to ensure efficient plant operations.

Qualifications

• BS Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree.
• Registered Mech Engr/ PME or REE/PEE.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory/managerial experience in facilities operations for industrial/manufacturing settings.
• Knowledge of HVAC, CDA, FDAS, Fire Pro, RODI, wastewater, plumbing, building maintenance, trend analysis, budget management, 8D and RCA, ISO 9001.

Responsibilities

• Supervise technicians in maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with production and support departments for facility, utility and equipment requirements.
• Monitor and improve plant electrical and mechanical systems, utility consumption and equipment performance.
• Prepare technical plans, material specs, cost estimates and project requirements for equipment installations and facility upgrades.
• Manage spare parts inventory and ensure materials availability for maintenance and operations.
• Oversee contractor activities and ensure compliance with technical and safety standards.
• Prepare and submit reports to PEZA, government agencies and stakeholders.
• Ensure ISO, environmental, health and safety compliance and policy adherence.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives for operational efficiency, cost reduction and safety.

Our facility in Manila, Philippines has been operating since 1996 with key functions in Design and Development, Engineering, Manufacturing and other disciplines. This site specializes in product design, process development and mass production of Photodiodes, Photodiode Arrays and High-Performance Sensors. These product technologies are primarily for LiDAR applications such as autonomous vehicles and range finding, as well as safety and security applications including smoke detection and luggage scanning.

We are presently seeking for Facilities Manager who shall develop, implement, and oversee preventive maintenance programs for electrical and mechanical systems to ensure efficient and reliable plant operations.

Main Responsibilities:

• Supervise technicians in conducting maintenance activities, inspections, troubleshooting, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with production and support departments regarding facility, utility, and equipment requirements.
• Monitor, evaluate, and improve plant electrical and mechanical systems, including utility consumption, equipment performance, and resource utilization.
• Prepare technical plans, material specifications, cost estimates, and project requirements for equipment installation, facility upgrades, and expansion projects.
• Manage spare parts inventory and ensure the availability of materials needed for maintenance and operations.
• Oversee contractor activities and ensure projects are completed according to technical and safety standards.
• Prepare and submit required reports and documentation to Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), government agencies, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards, environmental, occupational health and safety requirements, and company policies.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, utility cost reduction, productivity, quality, and safety performance.

Requirements:

• BS Mechanical Engineering Graduate or Electrical Engineering Graduate
• Registered Mech Engr/ PME or REE/PEE
• With at least 5 years supervisory or managerial hands-on experience in Facilities operations and maintenance of industrial/manufacturing facility.
• Well knowledgeable in Operations and Maintenance of HVAC, CDA, FDAS, Fire Pro, RODI, wastewater, Plumbing , Building maintenance, Critical parameters trend analysis, budget management, 8D and RCA, ISO 90001.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills in managing facilities maintenance technicians and driving team performance.
• Flexible and willing to work beyond regular hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays, as operational requirements demand.
