Job summary

Austal Philippines in Balamban, Cebu is seeking a Fabricator to join our shipbuilding team. The role involves assembling and constructing ship components and structures to ensure quality while minimizing production time.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will work with a team to meet safety standards and production targets. A high school diploma with TESDA welding training and a B-class welder certification are required.

Qualifications

• At least high school graduate with formal welding training from a TESDA accredited training centre.
• Must be a B-class certified welder.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and construct ship components and structures with the aim of minimum production time and maximum quality.
• Work within a team under the supervision of the Production Supervisor to meet targets and safety standards.

About the role

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Fabricator is responsible for working within a team of employees responsible for the assembly and construction of ship components and structures with the minimum production time and maximum quality.

Essential

Required Skills / Experience / Attributes

• At least high school graduate with formal training on welding taken from TESDA accredited training centre.


• Must be a B-class certified welder.

Desirable

• Overhead Crane Experience/Training


• Confined Space Experience/Training


• Working at Height Experience/Training


• Value Adding Management Training
